Description

ChiPBench is a comprehensive benchmark for evaluating AI-based chip placement algorithms by measuring their impact on final design performance, power, and area (PPA) through an end-to-end physical implementation workflow rather than relying on surrogate intermediate metrics. It comprises 20 real-world circuits from domains like CPU, GPU, and microcontrollers compiled from Verilog with preserved physical implementation kits, and provides evaluation by running placements (including six state-of-the-art AI-based algorithms) through the full physical implementation to report final PPA results.
